The Bray Calendar - 'You can't beat the visual record as you walk in the office'

Bray Calendars help to reduce calving intervals, improve conception rates and improve the overall profitability of your herd.  The calendar is robust and easy to use and can be used as both a stand alone dairy management system and alongside computer based dairy management programmes.

Use Bray with your Dairy Management Software

The Bray Calendar works in harmony with dairy management software as both a back up (power cuts, computer crash etc) and an instant visual record of all the breeding information the software provides.  You are unlikely to allow everyone to access your computer, so the Bray Calendar is essential, providing an easy and effective way of displaying the status of each cow, for example those due for service or calving.

The calendar is populated by six sided magnets, these are either pre or self numbered and each magnet represents an individual cow and its point in the dairy breeding cycle.  This presents a picture of the herd's fertility status now as well as helping to accurately predict production over the coming months. The design of the calendar also prompts important actions when necessary.

Use the Bray Calendar to assist with future herd planning, the Calendar calculates heats, servicing dates, calving dates, pregnancy checks, drying off and calving preparation dates and will track both herd and individual cow performance.  By monitoring regular and irregular cycling in your cows it is possible to identify cows which need to be seen by a vet for problems such as cystic ovaries or infections. This positive intervention means that by the time service is due the identified cows will either be healthy and ready to concieve or can be culled.
